ILA 2016: MBDA/Lockheed aim for Wisla
The heated competition between MBDA and Raytheon for the German TLVS programme has spilled over into Poland.
After MBDA was selected for TLVS with its MEADS, Raytheon has continued its bid for the programme with Patriot as a back-up option for the German government. Now MBDA is striking back with a move on Poland’s Wisla air defence programme that Raytheon was selected for.
Rick Edwards, executive VP for Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control division that works with MBDA on the MEADS offering for TVLS, said the company was still offering this system in Poland.
